Crushing on New Orleans

NOLA's stolen my heart - I recently ventured down South to The Big Easy for the second time in as many months to get another dose of the music, food and local life.

In addition to this piece I wrote for Sporteluxe here's my fave spots in the city of soul music, soul food and so-cool people.

Café Du Monde - you'll need a workout after the irresistible mouthwatering beignets on offer here.

Café Rose Nicaud - the veggie scramble is off the southern hook. Be sure to say hi to Sarah, the Aussie waitress

Royal House Oyster Bar - the fired oysters, I can't even. Just do it and regret it later.

Wild Lotus Yoga - a totally zen experience in the Healing Centre

Xtend Bar - my fave place to plie, chassé jete. Burn baby, burn.

Hattie Sparks - stocking sweet homemade home goods from local designers like the awesomely talented General Public Designs

Neon Heart - trinkets & fragrances sources from across the land

The Spotted Cat - a brilliant bloody mary and brass band sounds

One Eyed Jacks - saw the immensely talented Benjamin Booker here, right in the heart of the French Quarter on what has to be one of the best weekends I've ever had. Download his album. now!

Bacchanal - like the best backyard party you've ever been to.. with fairy lights, all the wine you can drink and the raddest ever cheese plate

International House - walking distance the Quarter and across the road from a traditional Southern diner, this boutique hotel has dope art, cool staff and a bar. What else is there?
