Think Paris is all about croissants, fromage and vin rouge? It is of course a foodie capital but now you don’t have to panic about the waistline or suffer smoothie separation anxiety. The City of Lights has a long history of organic street markets where locals buy their produce daily, assuring fresh food adorns tables each night. And now, Parisians are discovering organic cafés and even a juice bar popping up amidst brasseries and boutiques.
Bob’s Kitchen is leading the pack with their ever-changing menu at the no-frills establishment in the Marais. The fashion pack are regular visitors during Fashion Week where they’ll pick up bagels, lentil soup, banana pancakes and super smoothies from the ever-changing menu.
And then there’s Bob’s Juice Bar, thought to be the first in Paris. They even do deliveries of their cold pressed juices!
Once I’d discovered this little gem, I wandered from Hotel Emile through the Marais each morning to feast on their smoothies, bagels with cream cheese and figs, and tasty cookies all made from organic, whole food.
