Welcome to Health Bird where I’m channeling my 10 years experience working for glossy magazines, life as a freelance writer and editorial producer, passion for travel, and dietary knowledge as a student at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition into a blog about global health and wellbeing.

Currently living between Sydney and New York, I live life as organically as possible, but don’t deny myself a margarita on a hot sunny day because I’m encouraged by the 80/20 rule and the freedom to make choices that make me smile... and sometimes a cocktail does that just as well as a sweaty Soul-Cycle session! If I’m getting my green smoothie in five days a week, a taco here or there isn’t going to hurt either – as long as it’s made with the freshest produce and with love. Knowing where your food comes from (hello, farmer's markets), enjoying it, giving thanks and eating slowly but surely is key. 

When I’m not working and studying I love to get outdoors as much as possible (walking the cliffs of Sydney’s coast or Manhattan’s Central Park), and spend time with family and friends in the sunshine. Vitamin D is the greatest healer! Laying on the beach, squeezing my cat, yoga, walking (in trainers, heels or thongs – there are no rules!) and thanking my body every day for carrying me through life make me happy. So does rad active wear - I’m always looking to source the coolest leggings to spin in, best sports bras to downward dog in and trainers to take me from workout to weekend.
